Domino’s NZ stores to temporarily close
a message from our CEO

To our valued New Zealand customers,

These are trying times and I want to thank you for supporting us over the past few weeks as we have worked to adjust our operations and adapt to this rapidly changing situation.

We have worked tirelessly to keep our team members and customers safe – introducing preventative measures like Zero Contact Delivery – and to keep our communities and those most vulnerable, including our elderly, safe and fed.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that as of midnight tonight (Wednesday 25 March), Domino’s New Zealand will close its doors temporarily in response to the government’s COVID-19 Alert Level 4 restrictions.

We praise the government on their proactive approach to keep New Zealanders safe and are committed to doing what we can to slow the spread of COVID-19. If that means New Zealand needs to go without pizza for a while, then it’s a sacrifice worth making.

I am so incredibly proud of the effort by our New Zealand Domino’s family and management to remain open to safely serve our customers and the community during this challenging time, and thank all of our team members for their hard work and dedication, and our customers for their unwavering support.

We will spend our final day open doing what we do best, delivering as many piping hot pizzas as possible to those who need it most – the men and women working hard to protect us on the front line of this crisis. Doing the right thing, because it’s the right thing to do.

New Zealanders – we are all in this together and I promise you, this too shall pass, and we will all be sharing a pizza with family and friends again soon.

See you soon and please stay safe,

Nick Knight Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO
