While a job at Domino’s can’t be ‘topped’, the pizza company is giving it a red-hot crack – offering up a year’s worth of free pizza and a Nintendo Switch to one successful applicant*.
Domino’s New Zealand General Manager Cameron Toomey said the Company has a wide variety of roles that could suit anyone from a student looking for a part time job to those who may be looking for a longer-term career in the food industry.
“With the festive season approaching we know there’s many people looking for a job to help pay all those extra bills, so we’re inviting them to come and work with us,” Mr Toomey said.
“The beauty with Domino’s is that we have a role suitable for anyone. Part time, full time, anytime, we’ve got something for you. The cherry on the cake, or the pepperoni on the pizza in this case, is that one lucky person who is hired within the next month will win a year’s supply of pizza and a Nintendo Switch!
“While we don’t want you throwing any blue shells out while driving, or slipping on any bananas, you can certainly practice your (safe) hustle skills playing Mario Kart virtually!
“At the end of the day though, what’s better than a job at Domino’s? Being able to share the joy of pizza with your family and friends!”
A variety of roles are available, with stores on the lookout for more In-Store Team Members and Delivery Experts to help safely make, bake, and take piping hot pizzas to customers. The only ingredients applicants need is a fantastic attitude and a willingness to learn.
“Domino’s is a fast-paced business that is forever changing – from our tasty products to our world-class operations and innovative technology. But there is one thing that always remains the same – our people are the heart of our business.
“At Domino’s, we don’t need people with a lot of experience or qualifications, we just need people with a great attitude,” Mr Toomey said.
“We recognise how important it is to teach our team members more than just how to make a pizza. Our development and training is focused on ensuring our team members gain some important life skills like teamwork, communication, and responsibility. Those people who are keen to learn and work hard will discover that you can progress very quickly. What may have started as part time job can quickly become a lifelong career.”
Domino’s has a strong history of promoting from within, and the Company will be rolling out its new ‘Path to Excellence’ program over the next 12 months, which is designed to help team members achieve their full potential.
“We are really excited about our new ‘Path to Excellence’ program, which is focused on accelerating the development of people through the Domino’s system; from today’s pizza maker or delivery driver to tomorrow’s store manager, franchisee, or business leader,” Mr Toomey said.
“Designed to provide team members with a world-class training experience across multiple areas of the business, including operations, leadership and culture, this program will be offered to all employees by a range of learning methods such as eLearning, on the job training and classroom.”
Set to gamify the learning experience through a personalised avatar, learner maps, virtual badges, and trophies, Domino’s ‘Path to Excellence’ program will present new and exciting opportunities for team members to progress through the business, including the steps to take on their own ‘slice’ of the pizza pie.
With more than 140 stores and over 2,800 team members (and growing), Domino’s is proud to be the largest pizza company in New Zealand – safely preparing and delivering thousands of piping hot pizzas to hungry customers every week.
