On Monday, 22 March Domino’s will officially be opening its doors to the community of Gore, and at the helm of the store will be local store owner and Domino’s veteran Josh Laing.

“I’m so excited that opening day is finally here,” says Laing. “The support and excitement everyone has shown to Domino’s coming to town is really encouraging. A lot of hard work has gone into getting the store ready and I can’t wait to welcome the community through the doors.”

Domino’s is founded on creating career pathways for its team members with most of its leadership made up of people who started as delivery drivers. Josh commenced his own journey with Domino’s eight years ago when he was still in college and he has never left. He moved from an entry level role to store manager, to Local Store Owner.

“When I started at Domino’s I was a student with a part time job as a delivery driver and now I’m Local Store Owner. I am looking forward to mentoring my own team. Who knows, one day one of my pizza makers might just own their own Domino’s store.”

While Josh and his team have been busying getting ready for opening next week, they are also focused on one key Domino’s value - giving back to the community.

“We’ll have some great opening specials for next week, but we will also be focused on helping some important community organisations.

“On Monday we’ll be providing hot meals to some of our frontline workers at Gore Hospital to say thank you for all the vital work they do. They are always looking after others, so we are going to do something to look after them.

“Then on Saturday 27 March we’ll be raising money for Gore Kids Hub. Gore Kids Hub do such a great job supporting the people and families of Gore that we wanted to give back to them. Between 11am and 3pm on that Saturday we will have a range of pizzas available for $2, with all proceeds being donated to this important organisation.”

Domino’s Gore will be opening its doors on Monday 22 March at 11am at 128 Main Street.
